We aren’t exactly “official” yet, but we are on our way! We’ve gotten insurance quotes and a key to our new location. We’ve also selected a name for our gathering, “The Branch”. The Branch will be a Messianic fellowship where both Jew and Gentile can grow together in faith and knowledge of our LORD. Our key Scripture is Romans 11. If you live in the Cleveland area, you can drive by downtown on the corner of 1st and Parker Streets to see our new location. We will be meeting at the Haven Place starting in January. We are very excited about this partnership. They have been super great and even are letting us use the building this coming Saturday for our Hanukkah party! If you’re interested in having some fun and learning more about Hanukkah, please join us at 5 PM at the Haven Place. | Happy Thanksgivukkah!! What, you don’t know what that is? Well, this year the first day of Hanukkah (the 8 day Jewish Feast of Dedication that falls in Winter) actually lands on Thanksgiving. In reality, the first night of Hanukkah is Wednesday, the night before we celebrate Thanksgiving. However, if you will remember, Jews begin their day at sundown. Confusing? Yeah, I know. Anyway, the last recorded time this occurred was in the 1800s. Some speculate that it will not occur for another 70,000+ years. This really is once in a lifetime! And I am one of those people that like to know when I am experiencing a once in a lifetime event. I hate it when I find out about something I could have observed AFTER it happens. You know, like Haley’s comet or some other weird obscure event. So, when you carve your turkey this year, remember that Jews all over the world are also observing Hanukkah and pray they will see the light of the world as they count their blessings. |

They will continue throughout the 8 days of Hanukkah and end on Dec. 5
What Are You Thankful For?
That brings me to the second person I am thankful for. His name is Robert. Gideon met him at the Messiah conference when he led a workshop on the biblical significance of blowing the shofar. Robert took quite an interest in Gideon and even prayed for, anointed, and taught him to blow 2 shofars at once.
That is why Gideon is shoeless in the photo. He had 2 pairs of shoes that had been handed down to him by his brothers that fit and were (amazingly) still in nice shape. He chose to bypass the “new” shoes and ask the couple instead to give him the money they would have spent on his shoes for his shofar fund. Robert has picked out 2 matching shofars that he is “holding” for Gideon until he can save enough money to purchase them (similar to one in photo).
*Please continue to pray for both Jonathan and Gideon’s gut health. (I know I promised last month to tell you more, but have decided to wait until January.)
*We covet your prayers as we continue to follow the path He has laid out for us and for the finances to be available for us to fulfill this calling. We are thankful for the many hours he has been given at Life Care over the last few weeks.
* Please pray for the days ahead in our gathering that will be filled with tax status, bank accounts etc…
Praises: *Penny’s dad’s 2nd cataract surgery went well.
