Now that Matthew was rid of Collarin, a new problem took his place: rain, hard rain. Thankfully only a modicum of it could make it through the leaves to the young man tied to the tree (which you know as Matthew.) After three days of rain, wind, rain, and more rain Matthew’s clothes and appearance had debased so that he could hardly be recognized as a human much less a king. The rain was not Matthew's only problem, for along with the rain Matthew was now getting little red spots on his skin. "Why do you torture me so?" Matthew cried out in anger to The Sustainer. But just as Matthew thought his chances of being freed were gone, a demure looking man came walking though the woods. Matthew was elated, to see another human as he called out to the demure man. As the demure man untied Matthew from the ropes that were binding him to the tree he seemed to have great empathy for Matthew. After the demure man found out who Mathew was and what happened to him he immediately brought Matthew back to his house. Matthew's clothes and person were refurbished and he began to tell the man his story.
